2023…A new cycle around the sun!

Hello and welcome back in 2023!

I hope, you had a great start into the new year.
Despite many events in 2022 which could depress many people around the globe, I am so thankful to be alive in these times and to share it with you.

The thing is:
Even if some events like the violent attemp to tear down the revolution in Iran or the war against people of Ukraine could devastate us, if we consume the overwhelming daily amount of dark news, there is also a flipside of the coin.

A collective awareness is awakening!

Lately I was seeing clearly how people lose at first their dreams, hopes, dignity, even lives, but the last thing they lose before change is happening is their FEAR.

And this is right now a development happening not from tip to bottom, but from bottom to top.
A few years back Dalali Lama said, he could imagine that his “next incarnation is not one person but might be in many different bodies”.

An this is exactly what´s happening right now. The revolution in Iran wasn´t imaginable to people a few months back, cuz there was no opposition, no leader in the last 43 years.

Now there is the biggest movement in the last 4 decades, without a single leader. Everybody contributes on a level possible for him or her. Which is amazing, because there is no “head” they could arrest and excute to bring the movement down.

The collective consciousness is like birds flying formations or fishes swimming in swarms. A bigger organism organizing themselves. Everybody is a leader…

We have to dismember the past, to be able to remember!Remembering how powerful we are.
Remembering how beautiful life is.
Remembering how precious connection and community is!

Are you ready for a bright, peaceful future?

So lets connect more and more people and become the biggest school of fishes in the ocean 🙂

I am truely curious to hear your thoughts on this one.
Please, write me yours!
Thank you and another circle full of love, inspiration and connection around the sun for us all! OM.

The core idea of “The Inner Pearl” is based on the notion that within each of us there exists a core that is flawlessly beautiful and undamaged; regardless of what experiences we have gone through in life!

Whether consciously or not, we all have a direct connection to this core!

At this workshop we want to give participants simple but effective tools that will uncover this connection and help it to be further cultivated.

Life events and our thoughts often overshadow our connection to this inner powercore to such an extent that we no longer recognize it..

This often leads to us feeling at the mercy of external circumstances and therefore looking outside for solutions. The inexhaustible source of strength with the Inner Pearl is within ourselves.

The duration of the workshop is flexible depending on the setting of the event.
It can vary from 90 minutes up to a whole day retreat, where more pillars of the system are embedded into the program and participants have the chance to deepen their experience..

Below you find a selection of the pillars of The Inner Pearl. Breathwork and somatic exercises are steady parts of the workshops. The additional parts of “The Inner Pearl” are optionally and depending on the duration and needs of the event:

Breathing

A strong mind goes hand in hand with conscious breathing. Conscious breathing strengthens the spirit and opens further doors to descend deeper into ourselves and recharge our batteries.
Various breathing techniques that are suitable for different purposes (energy building, calming, meditation, etc.) are presented and practiced together in a guided manner.

Music and silence

What makes music possible? Exactly, the silence.
From this interaction we learn to recognize the advantages of music in the silence of the room and to listen more consciously and deeply.
Sound meditations and intentional silence as well as singing together are part of this module.

Somatic exercises

In addition to body therapy, this module also includes active exercises such as Qiqong, dance and Kundalini yoga and massages. It's about getting the energy in the body going and learning to release blockages.

Meditation

Various meditation techniques are presented and used that serve to synchronize the hemispheres of the brain, such as Hemi-Sync meditations from the Monroe Institute or José Silva's Centerring meditations and of course Zen meditation.

Creativity

Creativity is one of the central powerhouses of the Inner Pearl! Actively connecting with the power of the inner pearl, whether drawing, writing, singing and intuitive music-making, leads to the transformation of something difficult and traumatic into something positive. Exercises and approaches from art therapy can be used to help.

These and further parts will navigate the attendees through an exciting journey at its end they leave the workshop with a greater flow of energy and some easy to follow tools for their daily life!

Yet, 1000 words cant beat one experience! This is about YOU feeling the difference. Feel free to check the upcoming dates and join us!

Hello again,

What does help us to survive when everything else seems to fall apart? What can we hold on to when we are totally on our own?

In this 3rd part of my story, I will tell you how music saved my life at a very special time.

It was the mid-80s, and I seized the chance to escape the Iraq/Iran war as a teenager. I'll spare you the challenges of how it all worked, but finally, I landed in Frankfurt in West Germany. My first impression of Germany was the giant-sized posters of two naked, sun-baked Beate Uhse models smiling at me with their fake whitened smiles and boobs as big as their heads hanging at the exit of the arrival!

My sister Noshin was the only family member I had here. She had left Iran a few months earlier because life as a young woman was already, in that short period after the revolution, not giving her the opportunity to thrive. She couldn't go to university as a woman because the Ayatollahs had closed it. She found a job but had problems with the company, as they didn't like her style. It was obviously not Islamic enough for that company. After she got arrested a few times because of her clothing style, she knew it was time to leave.

A few weeks after my arrival, we had a shared flat, and a new cycle of life started for me. While I was amazed by all the green in Germany – we lived close to a little forest – everything else was kind of grey, and I felt really disconnected throughout the first year.

I didn’t speak the language, I didn’t have friends, and the school they put us refugees in was the lowest form of education (they call it “Hauptschule” in Germany), so finding new German friends seemed kind of impossible to me.

Yet, one really great thing in Germany was all the music coming out of the speakers at every radio station you chose!

Imagine, even though I grew up with a lot of music at home, finding new music after the revolution became soon an act of criminal activity in Iran! You either had some “connection” giving you some nameless, plain cassette mixtapes with some random new music. Or you had to go to some underground shops and had to act as if you are buying illegal substances. You needed a code-word or somebody who introduced you to the dealer, and he then gave you some tapes wrapped in papers! And now, in Germany, you turned the radio on, and the only annoying thing was the guy talking into the end of the song you hoped to record on your tape deck completely.

Anyway, the first peer group I met here was a circle of medical professionals befriended with my 10 years older sister. They invited us once to their barbecue, and I joined, but I knew they sat around a table talking about grown-up stuff, which I didn't understand anyway because I barely spoke German.

One of them picked us up, and we drove for a while. It was autumn, and I had this kind of blue feeling about how life was going on at this point…yet there was this music playing on the stereo of his car. It was music I had never heard before. Something magical was vibrating through this song; I could just feel it, like a sunbeam shining through on one of the last grey days of an endless winter!

“If everything falls apart, it is still worth it to stay alive just to listen to music” - I thought, watching the leaves flying by the car.

I gathered all my courage and the little German I could muster and dared to ask: “Was ist diese Musik?”

He looked back through his rear-view mirror, smiled, and said: “Das ist Elvis Presley!”

This was the first time I had heard this name. But I really liked that voice and that groove. A pity i never found that song again. It was not the typical Rock`N´Roll stuff you usually know from him,
Next, I will share with you how another tip-off from the universe made it possible for me to become a musician myself!

Thank you for following my story so far. Feel free to share it with whoever could be touched by it.
And please let me know how you deal with stuff when everything falls apart.

PS: The image from this post is one of the first coverarts i ever created with 10 years for one of that anoynmous mix-tapes i got my hands on!

Love, music, and creativity,
Om
